Buescher has challenged for top-20s this year, but fell short in four previous unrestricted, intermediate speedway races. Often, something would go wrong at the end of the afternoon, but at Martinsville most of the significant problems happened to someone else. Buescher’s teammate AJ Allmendinger finished sixth, which made this the best combined effort for JTG-Daugherty Racing.
