Clint Bowyer earns 4th top-15 of 2017

Clint Bowyer finished seventh in the STP 500 at Martinsville Speedway, which was his fourth consecutive top-15 of the season.

Bowyer is outpacing preseason expectations. That means fantasy players need to adjust their plan in regard to the No. 14 for the remainder of the season. In all likelihood, Bowyer is going to be the second-most productive driver at Stewart-Haas Racing in 2017 and should find Victory Lane sometime during the regular season.

Clint Bowyer finally gets Top-10 for SHR

Clint Bowyer threatened to finish in the top 10 in his first two attempts with Stewart-Haas Racing. At Las Vegas Motor Speedway, he finally carried through and finished 10th in the Kobalt 400.

As accomplishments go, this might not seem like a lot, but this was the first time in his last 30 attempts on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks that he finished in the top 10. He came close at Atlanta Motor Speedway last week with an 11th, and fantasy players will want to pay close attention to him. Bowyer was the highest-finishing SHR driver at Vegas after all three of his teammates experienced trouble.

In strong equipment, Clint Bowyer is a gem

Clint Bowyer has scored five top-10s in his last seven Daytona International Speedway in good equipment; this season, he climbs into Tony Stewart's old ride and should challenge for a top-five.

Bowyer has been consistently strong while running for Richard Childress Racing, Michael Waltrip Racing and even HScott Motorsports. This year, he will have solid drafting partners with the rest of his SHR partners and that will make a big difference if he is near the front in the final laps of the Daytona 500.
