Fantasy NASCAR – Sleepers and Value Picks: Bank of America 500

Joey Logano may be a good sleeper pick for Charlotte.
Sleepers

Joey Logano – Logano falls into the sleeper status for two reasons, first off, most don’t have him on their radars because he isn’t in the Playoffs this season, and secondly his price th is weekend has dropped to the $22‐dollar range on Fantasy Live and $9,600 on Draft Kings making him reasonably priced on both formats. In his last five starts at Charlotte he has posted an average running position of 11.2 and has led the second most laps behind Truex with 248 (13.3%). Plus, he has the eighth‐best average finish on 1.5‐mile tracks this season with a 12.3 and has posted the eighth‐most average fantasy points scored over the las t three starts (41.0).

Matt Kenseth – Of the higher priced drivers, Kenseth is the sleeper this weekend. While he is priced more than our normal sleepers in Fantasy Live (around $26‐dollars), he is crazy affordable on Draft Kings a t $8,600. Yes, he is winless. So, what? In his last 11 starts, he has finished in the top‐10 in eight of them. He has also posted the seventh most average fantasy points scored ( 41.7) in the last three weeks. O n top of all that, he has eight top 15s in his last 10 starts a t Charlotte, including a second‐place finish in last season’s Playoff race and a fourth‐place run earlier this season.

Ryan Blaney – Blaney is listed as a sleeper this weekend because though he is a Playoff driver, he won’t be on many people’s rosters, because he finished outside the top‐20 earlier this season at Charlotte, bu t don’t let that sway you. Blaney then, and Blaney now, are two different drivers. Keep in mind, he is only $17‐dollars on Fantasy Live and $9,000 on Draft Kings this weekend, but here is why you should consider him, he is ranked ninth in average finish on 1.5‐mile tracks this season; including finishing 10th at Kentucky and 11 th at Chicago, the last two 1.5‐mile tracks on the schedule. Plus, he has posted the 18th‐most fantasy points scored (20.3) over the last three weeks. He’s solid and will be looking to step it up to get to the next round of the Playoffs, watch f or him to run good this weekend.

Value Picks

Danica Patrick – Of the drivers under $15‐dollars on Fantasy Live and around the $6,000 range on Draft Kings, none are coming into this weekend hotter th an Danica Patrick, who has posted the 14th best average fantasy points scored (27.3) over the last three weeks. Her wave of momentum doesn’t end the re, in her last five starts at Charlotte she has an average finish of 19.6. In addition, she finished 11th in the Charlotte Playoff race last season. At the price, she fits perfectly with a high‐dollar driver lineup. Worth the look for sure.

Michael McDowell – Surprisingly he pulled off a top‐15 finish in last season’s Charlotte Playoff race, and then he backed it up with a top 20 earlier this season. And for those reasons, he has made the value pick list this weekend. Around a cool $10 dollars on Fantasy Live and $5,900 on Draft Kings he too can be a good high‐dollar lineup filler. McDowell has posted the 22nd‐best average finish on 1.5‐mile tracks this sea son, with a 22.1. Plus, over the last three weeks, he has posted an average fantasy points score of 14.0. Solid value with McDowell.

Aric Almirola – At his price, around $11 dollars on Fantasy Live and $5,800 on Draft Kings, Almirola is a solid value pick with definite upside this weekend. In his last five starts at Charlotte, he has posted an average finish of 17th – which is several spots better than driver s of similar value. He missed t he race at Charlotte earlier th is season due to injury, but finished 15th at CMS in last sea son’s Playoff race. For the price and the high probability of a top‐25 finish, he is worth the consideration this weekend, especially if he qualifies poorly.
